Wheee oooh
A few people asked for an update at SDCC, and I’ve been slow at putting this up. The pages were stolen & we never found them. There was an investigation by the post office, and we’re working out the money stuff, but the pages have never been found. We really believe that these pages still exist and are out there somewhere.
We had some information that led us to believe that they could have been in the possession of some students at the Academy of Art in San Francisco at the end of last semester, but we didn’t have enough info to follow up and attempts to contact anyone at the Academy of Art were unsuccessful.
We hope to recover them eventually and haven’t stopped looking. If you have any info, or see them anywhere, please let us know.

I’ve been doing assorted illustrations for Comics Alliance recently. I have another one coming up that I think people will like. I’m hopefully going to have prints of these for sale at APE (table 603! Oct 4-5! San Francisco!), provided I get my orders in on time at my print shop.

What's a good resource for someone who wants to learn more about lettering comics?

Its not like they have female skeletal animations and models in place from the “Liberation” game to use as a starting point… oops.

They already have the basics programming for playable female characters… or do they claim to unnecessarily start from scratch on female characters for every title? You can’t tell me they don’t reuse aspects of male characters from previous games!! This is a bunch of BS… it would not take them any longer to add a female character than it would a male character.

So maybe… for once… they can run out of time for yet another playable male character instead.

This happened to someone very close to me today, and I feel like my heart is on fire. Has this happened to you or strong women you know? Share your stories in the answers and I’ll reblog.
What’s your dipshit male boss horror story?

It’s been a weird few days. A tweet of mine, what I thought was a completely mild, innocuous tweet, took off and has so far been retweeted something like 1800 times. A screenshot of that tweet was featured in a tumblr post that so far has about 140k notes.

In the tweet I’m talking about

Out today at your local comics shop: Dark Horse Presents 36 featuring the final chapter of
DAVEY JONES AND THE MYSTERY OF THE MONOCLE MEN

Story, Words and Art by Dennis Culver (that’s me!)

Colors by Sloane Leong

Letters by Christy Sawyer

This issue, all mysteries are revealed. Davey punches things. Stuff goes boom. It’s pretty good.

The exciting conclusion!! Out today, go get it. :D

I’m Christy. I’m a comic book letterer. The one thing I remember most about my first comics (a giant box of Fantastic Fours & Archies my mom got at a storage auction) is that a lot of them had ads for the movie Orca The Killer Whale on the back.
I’ve been a comic fan for the vast majority of my life, and I’ve always had access to a wide variety because I was lucky to have great people who thought it was cool that I liked comics & awesome comic book stores where ever I’ve lived.
Comics are pretty great.

Hey all! My husband and I bought some art that’s really precious to us, and the post office has lost it. While we work with them to try to find it, there’s a chance that it could have been resold or will show up online. If you see them, please let us know.
